A trail, a destination, a journey. A little adventure of life. A passage through time and beauty. The world around us is constantly changing, and the same trail will be different even when you retrace your steps a few minutes later. It leads you on a course others have traveled, but it is your journey. The experience is yours and yours alone.
You may meet others on that path, on their own journey, they may even join you for a bit, going the same direction for a time. Their presence alters your experience, expands it. For a moment, their journey becomes yours and yours theirs. Two paths intertwined.
But eventually, we must all follow our own path, and you part ways having become a different person because of it — even if your time together was momentary, fleeting. You may wonder where their journey takes them. It is easy to avoid the truth and lose sight of our own path, lose our direction. It feels good to focus on others. However, in order to grow, we must remember that this is our experience. Don’t we all want to grow?
