Everyone’s journey is unique. So much of my own growth has been through books. In fact, books have been major signposts along my path. Sometimes I have discovered them quite by accident, sometimes they have been recommended to me by teachers in my life, and other times they have literally been thrust upon me by the universe. This is a list of books that have had a significant impact on my life or have triggered a significant change. They are listed in the order that I have discovered them, but that by no means applies to you. I hope you discover as much within them as I have. Enjoy.

  1. Proof of Heaven, by Eben Alexander – This is the book I went to when I started questioning our own existence.  Eben has a highly trained, questioning scientific mind which he uses to report on his amazing spiritual experience with a healthy dose of doubt and skepticism.
  2. On Life After Death, by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross – Kubler-Ross has devoted her life to working with the dying. She shares her unique perspective based on her experiences here.
  3. The Highly Sensitive Person, by Elaine Aron – The book opened my eyes to who a really am, gave me the strength to set the boundaries I needed, and helped me realize there is nothing wrong with me. There are others out there who struggle with the same challenges with stimuli.
  4. I Can See Clearly Now, by Dr. Wayne Dyer – The life story of a great spiritual teacher. Many lessons here from his journey.
  5. The Power of Now, by Ekhart Tolle – Is a little book that is very dense. I was literally guided to this book.  I describe this experience here. One of the great secrets of existence is existing in the here and NOW, and being present in every moment.
  6. Dying to be Me, by Anita Moorjani – Anita describes her powerful near-death experience and her miraculous recovery from stage 4 cancer.
  7. Beyond Past Lives, by Mira Kelley – My first exposure to past life regression.
  8. Memories of the Afterlife, by Dr. Michael Newton – An amazing collection of case studies for Dr. Newton’s practitioners of past life regression. I read many books between Beyond Past Lives and this book, but this one had a profound impact on me.
  9. Many Lives, Many Masters, by Brian Weiss – It would have been better to read this book after Beyond Past Lives, but this book still had an impact. This is THE past lives book to read.
  10. The Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz – A deceptively powerful quick read. I’ve re-read it many times. A foundational book for personal growth.
  11. I Am The Word, by Paul Selig. This is a work that was completely channeled by Paul’s guides. The wisdom they share is life-changing. This is the first of what are currently 5 channeled tomes. I also highly recommend The Book of Love and Creation.
  12. The Book of Joy, by the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, Douglas Carlton Abrams. This a fantastic account of a week-long summit on what creates Joy with two of the most compassionate and spiritual souls on the planet right now. Beyond the spiritual topics of the book, the highlight for me was the display of humanity and great love between these two amazing men.
